★ ISV Partner Report
Partner Pulse: This week's dominant theme is partners repositioning from infrastructure vendors to AI platform players — Everpure, Cohesity, F5, and Dynatrace all made aggressive moves to own the AI data or security control plane, raising questions about where OpenShift fits in their architecture. Veeam's expanding HPE and Everpure alliances signal a private cloud coalition forming that is adjacent to — but not centered on — Red Hat. Cisco/Splunk's WideField acquisition deepens the agentic SOC narrative, which is the one area where Splunk's OpenShift integration story remains most credible.
- Cisco/Splunk: Cisco's acquisition of WideField Security is explicitly framed as bolstering Splunk's agentic SOC capability [69], extending an AI identity layer into the Splunk platform. This is a buying signal — Cisco is investing in Splunk as a product, not harvesting it. The risk for Red Hat is that Cisco is building Splunk's AI security story around its own security cloud stack, not OpenShift. Separately, active exploitation of a critical Splunk Enterprise vulnerability [73][77] creates an urgency window. Red Hat's ecosystem team should engage Cisco on a joint hardened Splunk-on-OpenShift reference architecture, positioning RHEL's security posture as the answer to Splunk's current exposure.
- F5 Networks: F5 acquired SurePath AI and launched a dedicated AI Security Platform [6][4], moving decisively into AI traffic governance — a layer that sits above traditional ADC and directly competes with service mesh and API gateway capabilities increasingly native to OpenShift. This is a warning sign. F5 is building platform ambitions that could route around OpenShift's networking layer rather than integrate with it. Red Hat should assess whether F5's AI Security Platform is being positioned to customers as an OpenShift complement or a standalone control plane, and accelerate joint solution definition before F5 sets the narrative alone.
- Everpure: Everpure's pivot from storage vendor to "data intelligence" platform [37][20], paired with a deepening Veeam alliance [39] and CFO statements that AI spending is permanent [15], signals a company replatforming its entire identity. This is background noise for Red Hat today but a medium-term warning — if Everpure's data platform becomes the AI data substrate enterprises standardize on, OpenShift's role as the runtime layer needs to be explicitly anchored in that architecture. Red Hat should pursue a joint AI data pipeline reference architecture with Everpure before the Veeam alliance locks in a competing stack.
- Veeam/Kasten: Veeam's expanded HPE private cloud alliance [96][83] is explicitly targeting AI and modern virtualized workloads — territory where OpenShift and Kasten v10 should be central. The HPE framing, not a Red Hat framing, is leading the narrative. This is a warning sign of drift. Red Hat's Kasten team needs to determine whether HPE private cloud in this alliance means VMware Private Cloud or OpenShift-based infrastructure, and if it's the former, escalate to ensure OpenShift is a named platform in Veeam's AI workload protection story.
- Dynatrace: Goldman Sachs raised its price target [100] and Dynatrace is actively pushing its Grail data lakehouse as a hybrid cloud observability consolidation platform [33]. Observability consolidation is a direct complement to OpenShift's operator ecosystem. This is a buying signal — Dynatrace is financially healthy and investing in capabilities that make OpenShift environments more observable. Red Hat should prioritize co-sell motions and ensure Dynatrace's Grail integration with OpenShift logging and monitoring is current and prominently featured in joint materials.
- IBM/HashiCorp: IBM's joint AI agent practice with Google Cloud [7] and its deepening ServiceNow alliance [8][44] indicate IBM is building its AI integration story across multiple hyperscaler partnerships simultaneously. For Red Hat, this is background noise at the product level but strategically relevant — IBM's platform bets increasingly run through Google Cloud and ServiceNow workflows, which means Red Hat must ensure OpenShift is the assumed runtime in IBM's agentic AI delivery, not a Google Kubernetes Engine default.
- Cohesity: Cohesity's launch of "Maestro" [29][98] — an agentic, headless data protection platform — signals Cohesity is moving up the stack toward autonomous data management, directly competing with the orchestration layer OpenShift occupies. This is a warning sign. Red Hat should monitor whether Maestro's agentic capabilities are designed to integrate with OpenShift pipelines or bypass them entirely, and engage Cohesity on certified integration before the architecture hardens.
